May we tremble at His word!
This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. (Isaiah 66:1-2 NIV)
Lord, in times of turbulence and unrest like this, we come before You and thank You especially for Your powerful word. We really tremble at Your word and not at the circumstances. We choose the fear of You and not on the coronavirus nor on present shaky conditions. We choose to trust in You, and not to fear of lack, neither the fear of the future nor the fear of man, as heaven and earth are all Yours.
During this kairos timing of the One Campaign of listening to Your wonderful word for 47 days altogether in the City, we pray especially for the Body of Christ that a strong spirit of awakening will come to enlighten our hearts. May ears and eyes be greatly opened and inspired to see You Yourself, Your glory, and Your glorious unshakable kingdom. We pray for a new wave of Your glory to come to our City and welcome the strong wonderful promptings of the Holy Spirit to stir up our hearts, creating a fresh longing in our spirit and a new determination in our mind to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness.
Though many church meetings are currently suspended due to the Coronavirus, we pray that people are even more hungry and attracted by Your word and a thirst seeking to also listen to Your rhema word, which is the voice of the Holy Spirit, and more willing to be always guided by Your wisdom so as to walk according to the principles of Your heavenly kingdom.
As many people are now working home office, and children as well as many young people are staying at home for no schooling, we pray that You will quiet down our City, make us still and restful and be more receptive for the gospel. May our hearts turn to each other and family relationships be restored. May we be the ones who become humble and contrite in spirit, reverently tremble at Your word and honor Your commands. Oh Lord, let Hong Kong be a city that You look on with favour, being Your resting place. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen!
